Cream Cheese Frosting

I have a tendency to over-beat homemade cream cheese frosting, but I have found this recipe to deliver pretty consistent results!

6 oz cream cheese, softenedDSC02256
4 oz unsalted butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla
2 ½ C powdered sugar


Beat together the cream cheese and butter. Add in vanilla and beat until just mixed.DSC02257

Add in powdered sugar and beat until smooth and creamy (be careful not to over-beat!)

You can add it whipping cream, milk, etc. if it is too thick.

Yield: Approximately enough for 24 cupcakes.

Put it on your favorite cupcake and enjoy!
