Tuna Caprese Pasta Salad

Simple and classic, can’t go wrong!

Ingredients
1 box (12 oz) pastaDSC01933
2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
6 ounces fresh mozzarella balls (diced, if desired)
1 tsp lemon zest
1 Tbsp capers, drained
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 Tbsp lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, mincedDSC01935
2 tsp Italian seasoning
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
Fresh basil to taste

Directions
Cook pasta according to package directions

Combine tuna, tomatoes, mozzarella, lemon zest and capers in a bowl. Set aside.DSC01947

Whisk together oil, vinegar, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

Combine tuna with pasta, then drizzle with dressing. Mix well. Top with basil to taste.
