1 C flour
1/3 C unsweetened cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 C sugar
1/3 C butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 large egg
Chocolate chips and walnuts to taste
Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
Cream the butter and sugar until smooth, then add in the vanilla and egg. Mix.
Add in the dry ingredients, mix until just combined.
Gently mix in chocolate chips and walnuts
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. *Note: cook time varies depending on your oven and how the racks are placed in your oven (i.e., the bottom of the cookies might burn if your racks are too low in the oven. I may or may not have learned that the hard way…)
